Deal of the week: Hyundai i20

Hyundai is offering up to £1,200 off the price of the new i20, with the five-door 1.2-litre Active slashed from £11,595 to £10,395. The i20 comes with USB and auxiliary connections, and four speakers, as well as air-con, electric front windows, six airbags and a five-year warranty. As a value-for-money, mid-range supermini, the i20 compares well to rivals the Suzuki Swift and Nissan Micra, and it’s cheaper than the Ford Fiesta. The interior is hardwearing and sturdy enough to stand up to family life, and the i20 received a full five-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating. Six airbags, active head restraints and electronic stability control are standard across the range. The i20 is spacious, with one of the longest and widest bodies in its class, with three adults easily fitting in the rear. The 295-litre boot is spacious, expanding to 1,060 litres with the seats folded down. The i20 isn't just a bargain buy, it's also cheap to run, the 1.2-litre model returning 58mpg. While there’s no tax-free model, all i20s come with a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty, and plenty of equipment offered as standard. The five-door option comes with Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, trip computer and remote boot release. Offers are also available on the three-door 1.2 Active, with a £1,550 saving off the on-the-road price, as well as £1,200 off the Classic 1.2 five-door, and £1,300 off the three-door option.
