Sophisticated VW Polo supermini for £200 per month: Hot car deal

Our hot car deal for May 8th feels premium, plush and practical; the Volkswagen Polo for just £200 per month

Volkswagen Polo tracking front-quarter

The latest Volkswagen Polo is a smart, sophisticated supermini that’s more like a shrunken Golf than ever. Offering a high-quality interior with plenty of space and useful onboard technology, it’s a really classy option that manages to pack in a lot of big-car features. One drawback we’ve previously highlighted is that the Polo can be a little expensive to buy, which makes this particular leasing deal – with monthly payments at just under £200 per month – all the more appealing.

What’s so good about this Volkswagen Polo deal?

This three-year deal from Carwow lets you cover up to 5,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £1,896.21, then 35 monthly payments of £199.69. There should be some flexibility to amend either the agreed mileage limit, or the overall term length, but it’s best to directly contact the dealer/broker who can offer a personalised quote based on your needs.

Offered in Life specification, this particular Polo model includes 15-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, power-folding heated door mirrors, rear parking sensors, cruise control, air conditioning, Bluetooth, a DAB radio, and an eight-inch digital instrument display.

Power comes from a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI petrol engine, producing 94bhp that’s sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. 0-62mph takes 10.8 seconds, while you should manage an average of 54mpg across a mixture of roads.

What’s so good about the Volkswagen Polo?

Volkswagen Polo - interior

A mid-life facelift for the Polo in late 2021 saw the popular supermini take on a sleeker exterior design, along with improvements to its onboard technology. It was just enough to sharpen things up and keep the Polo feeling premium enough to challenge the likes of the MINI hatchback. Volkswagen must be doing something right, because last month the Polo was second only to the Ford Puma in the UK sales charts.

About this lease deal…

About the car…

  • Monthly payments: 35 x £199.69
  • Initial payment: £1,896.21
  • Fees: £99 broker fee included in initial payment
  • Mileage limit: 5,000 miles

Anything else I need to know about this deal?

This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the four-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.

Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
